Canceling an Application
If you have submitted an application to Via Benefits and need to cancel it, please contact Via Benefits as soon as possible. Calling us could prevent you from losing funding.
When you call, a representative will check whether your application has been sent to the insurance carrier.
If it hasn’t been sent, we can cancel it and help you apply for a new plan the same day.
If it has been sent, the benefit advisor will transfer your call to a Customer Service Representative (CSR). The CSR will then contact the insurance carrier with you to cancel the application over the phone. Then the CSR can transfer you back to a benefit advisor to enroll in a new plan.
When speaking with the carrier, be sure to clearly state that you only want to cancel the application and not enroll in a new plan.
If you already have an existing plan with the carrier and are canceling a new application, make it clear that you are keeping your current plan and only canceling the new one—not both.
