Signing Up with Via Benefits on the Website
Signing up with Via Benefits on the website allows you to manage and save your personal information to better help you shop and enroll in plans. When you sign up, we ask for some personal information. Sometimes we receive information from your benefits provider or former employer. This information enables us to find an existing record in our system, so we can personalize your experience.
To enroll and manage your health plan, sign up on the website. To manage your reimbursement account, create an account on the mobile app.
To sign up on the website, complete the following steps:
1. Go to the Sign Up page.
2. Provide the requested information on the Sign Up page.
Note: In the First Name field, be sure you’re only entering your legal first name. Do not enter middle names or initials.
3. Depending on our records, you will complete one of the following steps:
Verify your Social Security number (SSN). We may ask for your Social Security number if we need more information to match to our records.
Verify your name and date of birth. We may ask you to confirm this information is correct. You’ll have the opportunity to edit it if you see any issues.
Be sent directly to step 4.
4. Enter your Email Address. A six-digit code will be emailed to you.
For security purposes, you need to have your own unique, accessible email address to sign up. Your email address becomes your unique identifier or username when signing in.
5. Once you receive the code, enter it in the Enter Code field. Select Next.
6. Create a New Password following the Password Requirements. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and select Next.
7. Enter a Phone Number that can be used when signing in to Via Benefits. Select Text Me or Call Me.
Text Me
A verification code is sent to your mobile phone.
Enter this code in the Enter Code field on your computer.
Note: Make sure you enter the verification code and not the phone number the code was sent from.
Select Next.
Call Me
A call is made to your phone.
Follow the voice prompts to continue signing in.
8. You then have the option to Add an Alternate Sign-In Phone Number. If you choose to enter an alternate number, select Text Me or Call Me to verify this number.
Note: If you choose to skip this step, go to step 11.
Text Me
A verification code is sent to your mobile phone.
Enter this code in the Enter Code field on your computer.
Note: Make sure you enter the verification code and not the phone number the code was sent from.
Select Next.
Call Me
A call is made to your phone.
Follow the voice prompts to continue signing in.
9. Select whether you want to remember this device.
If you select Yes you want your device remembered, you aren't asked the additional security question for 30 days. After the 30 days expires, you're asked the additional security question again.
10. You are now signed up!
