Resetting Your Password on the Website

This article applies to you if you have a Via Benefits reimbursement account (sometimes known as a Health Reimbursement Arrangement)*.

Follow the instructions on this page if you have forgotten your Via Benefits password and would like to reset it. You can reset your password on the website or on the Via Benefits Accounts mobile app at any time. For mobile app instructions, read Resetting Your Password on the Mobile App.

If you know your password and would like to change it, refer to Changing Your Password.

Resetting Your Password

To reset your password, follow these steps:

1. Select Sign In on my.viabenefits.com.
2. Select the Forgot your password? link.

 
 

3. Enter your Email Address, select Next

Note: You're required to go through a two-step process that provides an added layer of security for your personal information. This involves verifying your email address and phone number. If you would like further information, read Additional Security Steps

4. You're sent an email from Via Benefits that provides a code to verify your email address.

5. Once you receive the code, enter it in the Enter code field on the website and select Next.

Note: If you don't receive the code, there’s information about getting the code.

 
 

6. Select Text Me or Call Me.

Text Me

  • A verification code is sent to your mobile phone.

  • Enter this code in the Enter Code field on your computer before the code expires and select Next.

If you don’t get the code, you can choose to have the code resent, Get a Call Instead, or Chat with Technical Support.

Call Me

  • A call is made to your phone.

  • Follow the voice prompts to continue signing in.

If you don’t get the call, you can choose to get another call, Get a Text Instead, or Chat with Technical Support.

Note: If you provided two phone numbers, select the one you want to use. Call us if you don't have access to either of the phone numbers.

 
 

If you selected Text Me, enter code.

 
 

7. Create and confirm a new password following the password requirements. Select Next. The Home page appears.

You're now signed in, and your password has been changed! You're able to sign in using your new password the next time you visit the website.

*Via Benefits reimbursement accounts are administered by Extend Health, LLC.
